The Nitty Gritty about Limited Editions
California law requires us to have a written policy on our use of the term "limited edition". (We're glad about that, people use the term quite differently, and this leads to a lot of confusion.)
Except where noted otherwise, all prints are limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist, and limited to an edition of some number of prints, typically 10, 50 or 200. Images from Signatures of the Sun are limited to 21, a few unusual prints are limited to smaller editions.. Only that many signed and numbered fine art prints will be made of any image. This means there will be (at most) 21 "Burble" prints, not 21 16x11s plus 21 24x16s plus 21 48x32s....
This total does not include other uses of the image such as note cards, posters or magazine publications, nor does it include "work prints." Work prints are draft prints I make of an image and do not sell, but may be shown in rare circumstances at classes and demonstration. Work primts are strictly not for sale, and are generally destroyed not long after creation.
