Looking deep inside the log-turned-stone, we find strange patterns... During my 2008 artist residency in Petrified Forest National Park I was captivated by the colors and forms found within petrified logs. One result of that fascination was this series of fourteen images, which I printed on metal, arranging to make only one print ever of each of these 14 designs. It took a while to find a process that really captures the translucency of real petrified wood, but I believe these singular prints do nature justice.
