Mono Lake's mysterious, alien quality is very real in person, and is a feeling that I try and bring into my photography of the area. Here, formations around a spring are temporarily (we hope) above the lake level, creating a central pool with some of the more famous South Tufa area formations and sunset light provide a symmetric, almost too-perfect background. This is going to work great as a large print.
